The Washington Center Internship Program

Representatives from the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars will hold an information session on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in Pratt 305 at 5:00 p.m.

The program offers IUP students a unique life experience. Qualified students have the opportunity to work in several different fields in private, public, and nonprofit organizations in Washington, DC. Previous IUP internship locations included Voice of America, the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators, the United States Marshals Service, Citigroup Management, and the Smithsonian's Museums of Asian Art.

Brooke Stanford participated in TWC prior to her graduation in 2018 with a degree in finance and legal studies. "I absolutely loved every minute of being in DC," she said. "The Washington Center has so many fun and educational activities and groups you can join while you are there. The internship experience I had helped me determine what career path I want to take after graduation. It was an experience I won't forget!"

The program provides internships for students from a variety of academic disciplines. Each program has professional supervisors who counsel, place, supervise, and help evaluate students, as well as organize activities for them during the day or half-day when students are not at their internships.
