Appalachian Teaching Project
engages students and regional citizens in posing answers to the question, “How can we build a sustainable future for Appalachian communities?” Its overarching educational goal is to teach students and communities about the work of the Appalachian Regional Commission, its state and local partners, and the goals of the commission’s strategic plan.
The Northern Appalachian Heirloom and Native Seed Bank Project aims at preserving the genetic diversity of the Northern Appalachian region through collection, storage, and dissemination of regional heirloom and native seeds.
Northern Appalachian Folk Festival
is dedicated to preserving the past, promoting the present, and securing the future of a variety of music, art, folkways, and other forms of cultural expression of the Northern Appalachian region.
