The Allenwood

  • Serving up hospitality since 1916!

The Allenwood is now open for lunch and dinner during the fall 2019 semester.

Every Hospitality Management student has the unique opportunity to manage the Allenwood.

A hostess at the Allenwood Students enrolled in the two laboratory courses—HOSP 330 - Applications of Food Production and Service and HOSP 413 - Restaurant Food Production and Service—manage the Allenwood every semester. These courses provide hands-on learning in:

    • Food production techniques
    • Safe food handling procedures
    • Team building
    • Communication
    • Leadership skills

These students also apply and develop managerial functions of planning, organizing, influencing, and controlling an operation.

The Allenwood is operated through two courses as part of the Hospitality Management curriculum. Hours of operation are limited based upon course scheduling and will change every semester. All lunches and dinners are open to the public.

During fall 2019, the Allenwood will be available for public dining September 19–December 6 on Tuesdays through Fridays for lunch and Thursdays for dinner. Please plan to join us every week for delicious menus.
