Writing Center Seeks Tutors for 2025–26 Academic Year
The Jones White Writing Center is recruiting undergraduate and graduate tutors for 2025–26. The position is open to students from all majors.

The Writing Center will be closed for summer holidays on May 26, June 19, and July 4.
Summer 2025 Writing Center Tutoring Schedule
- Monday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Appointments must be scheduled at least two hours in advance.
To schedule an appointment, please
- Visit the MyIUP portal
- Go to All Cards, and search for “writing center”
- On the Academic Support card, select Writing Center: Schedule a Writing Tutorial
- Sign in with your user ID and password
If you are a first-time user of our scheduling system, follow the steps on the landing page to create an account. Once you are signed in, you will be able to access the calendar, select a tutor and a time, and schedule an appointment.
Appointment types for summer include online or e-tutoring formats.
Writing Center tutors can meet with students in 203 Stabley Library or online.
Writing help sheets and reference books are always available for students.
Tutors lead in-class and evening writing workshops in the Writing Center's computer lab.
