The Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania enrolled its first class of scholars in 1996. It has always had as central to its mission facilitating excellence in academic achievement, community service, and engagement in students (especially first-generation college students) most likely to thrive in a program with small, seminar-style classes centered in critical inquiry and creative thinking.
