The Division of University Advancement is committed to the promotion of the university and its accomplishments. We secure and steward gifts from alumni, friends, and corporations that advance the university’s strategic priorities, enhance the student experience, provide much-needed assistance for student scholarships, and support the faculty.
We provide guidance and oversight of strategies and initiatives related to alumni engagement, donor participation, fundraising, and the overall culture of philanthropy throughout the university.

Conversations in Conservation

Foundation for IUP
The University Advancement Division partners with the Foundation for IUP for much of its work. See in particular forms for conducting business with the foundation. IUP personnel should review a general outline of procedures for soliciting private gifts and planning related events .
IUP Alumni Association
The IUP Alumni Association and its board of directors is an advocacy arm for the university. The association keeps alumni engaged with the IUP and serves as a lifelong network.
Professional Organizations Associated with University Advancement
CASE, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, is considered the foremost authority on higher education advancement. The division is a member.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals is an organization for professionals who generate philanthropic support for a wide variety of nonprofit, charitable organizations.
