This year’s Summer Bridge Program is for newly admitted undergraduate IUP students whose ALEKS (math) score is below the minimum needed to enroll in their major’s math requirement and who want to improve their math skills over the summer with the goal of saving time and money. Students will receive technical and academic support to improve their math skills on ALEKS over the summer. Students can enroll up until August 1.
SBP students also have the option of enrolling in a one-credit, math-specific learning strategies course (UGSS 183) in the two weeks leading up to the fall semester. There is no additional cost for students, even for the course, as long as students’ total fall credit load falls below the flat rate for full-time students.
All questions about the program should be directed to Stephan Schaffrath, Title III Grant Program coordinator, at sschaffr@iup.edu.
