Eighty years ago, the Italian Government began a series of Antisemitic measures that led to Italy's participation in the Holocaust. And yet, up until that point, many Italians ad boasted that they were different from other Europeans when it came to the so-called "Jewish Question" and certainly different from their new allies in Nazi Germany. So, how can one explain the subsequent Italian persecution of Jews? And, what lessons can we learn now from a consideration of the case of Antisemitism?
