Gain an Edge in Early Clinical Knowledge and Skills

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Speech-Language Pathology major prepares students for a career helping people with communication or swallowing difficulties. The curriculum supplements basic prerequisite coursework for graduate school with content in a variety of clinical disorders with immersive simulations and the early opportunity to provide treatment in our campus clinic.

Most of our students qualify for scholarships that are renewable every year.

Speech-Language Pathology classes are infused with a Passport to Culture program. We teach students how to adapt clinical services based upon patient features such as socioeconomic status, age, culture, and language. The IUP Speech-Language Pathology program also has an innovative hospital simulation lab. We use simulations to ease any student worries about the medical side of the profession during scaffolded experiences with our manikins.
