Sarah Haldeman has been selected as the IUP Punxsutawney Person of Purpose for September-October 2020.
This award recognizes a student who has shown academic excellence and good work ethic and who actively participates in the classroom. The recognition reinforces the critical value of passion, persistence, and purpose in achieving meaningful success.
Award recipients are chosen from faculty nominations.
Haldeman was nominated by History professor Steven Schroeder as being among the most outstanding in his classroom.
Sarah will receive a $250 award.
