The Zero Abuse Project has awarded Pearl Berman the Child Advocacy Studies Award.
The Psychology and Sociology departments at IUP currently offer the only Child and Adult Advocacy Studies program in the United States.
Pearl Berman has received an award for her efforts to support other programs within the US and Pacific Region to develop this type of programming. The goals are to train students who may be first or second responders to cases of violence across the lifespan with the job skills to be trauma-informed and effective.
