Students can engage in activities outside of the classroom that deepen their commitment to their area of expertise.

Political Science Student Leadership Committee

The PSSLC is a student organization created to raise political awareness and increase political involvement on campus and in the Indiana community. The PSSLC holds bi-weekly meetings throughout the academic year and sponsors a number of projects and events, including food drives, "Meet the Candidates" nights, and trips to Washington, D.C.

Pi Gamma Mu Chapter

This international social science honor society is open to juniors, seniors, and graduates. Once you meet the requirements and are accepted, you have a lifetime membership and a one-year subscription to Social Science Review.

University Senate

The University Senate serves as the academic governing body for IUP. Senators are primarily elected and come from all areas of the campus communityfaculty, administrators, students, staff, and alumni. A student always serves as the vice chair for the University Senate, and students serve along with faculty and administrators as members of committees.
