Parking Services announces minor changes to rules and regulations regarding overnight parking on campus.

The following locations will be posted “No Parking” from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., 365 days per year. The signs posted at the entrance of each lot will indicate the restricted times. Vehicles parked in these restricted areas will be ticketed and or towed at the owner’s expense.

  • Eleventh Street Lot
  • Foster Lot
  • Parking Garage Spaces 315 - 425
  • Pratt Drive (between Maple and Grant)
  • Pratt Suites East (unless permission is given)
  • Stadium Lot North A
  • Wallwork North Lot
  • Wallwork South Lot

Limited enforcement will be in place most weekends.* Limited enforcement begins at 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and ends at 11:00 p.m. on Sundays, with the “No Parking 11:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.” rule enforced.

Limited enforcement allows vehicles to park in faculty/staff/commuter lots and pay by plate spaces and to not worry about lot designation or paying at the kiosk or the mobile app. Special Reserve spaces numbered 1–50 are enforced 24/7.

*There may be some weekends when enforcement will be necessary. IUP Parking Services, in collaboration with Public Safety, will communicate through email which weekends parking will be enforced.

The justification for “No Parking 11:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.” is due to residence hall students parking in premier faculty/staff/commuter lots just outside of residence halls. These lots need to be available for faculty, staff, and commuters who travel to campus on a daily basis. Please notice that we have removed the HUB and Keith lots from this restriction. These lots will be strictly enforced beginning at 7:00 a.m.
