The golf team finished tenth—its highest finish in school history—in the NCAA Division II championship, which concluded May 21, 2010, in Noblesville, Ind.

IUP’s previous best finish was twelfth place in 1993 and 2009.

Brad Boyle had a score of 304 over the seventy-two holes, finishing in a tie for eighteenth place to lead the Crimson Hawks individually. Ryan Kennedy tied for twenty-sixth at 307, followed by Leo Acklin (315, tied for fifty-second), Gavin Smith (318, tied for fifty-eighth), and Nic Milito (330, seventy-sixth).

In other sports news, Paul Bingham became the first IUP baseball player in twenty years to be selected to the Daktronics All-America first team in voting by Division II sports information directors.

The last player to achieve the honor was Kevin McMullan in 1990.

Bingham, a senior shortstop, was the only player from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference named to the first team and was one of only two to make any of the three teams.
