On Monday, April 19, 2010, the IUP Alumni Association hosted a successful event at the state Capitol in Harrisburg, Pa. Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Chancellor John Cavanaugh, IUP President Tony Atwater, and IUP alumni from across the Commonwealth gathered with legislative members from both the House and Senate and their staff members to discuss the advances at the university and promote support for IUP.
State and private funding sources are essential to build upon the levels of excellence that IUP has achieved and the impact the university has on the Commonwealth. Alumni can provide invaluable support in promoting funding opportunities that enhance the future for IUP and its students.
