PASSHE received a $500,000 two-year U.S. Department of Education grant to reduce alcohol consumption and binge drinking among first-year residential students by 7 percent.
IUP will be one of fourteen universities participating in the grant’s goals, which are:
Ann Sesti of the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Program will lead IUP’s implementation, along with a team of university colleagues. This month, freshmen living on campus will participate in the CORE, a national survey assessing student behaviors and perception of students’ use of alcohol.
