Karen Goltz Stein, an assistant professor of speech-language pathology and the director of the Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic, is completing her sixth year as a member of the Pennsylvania State License Board of Examiners in Speech, Language, and Hearing.
She served as board chair from 2005 to 2008 and lectured annually at the Pennsylvania Speech-Language-Hearing Association conferences to inform state licensees regarding the new Pennsylvania Continuing Education requirements and Practice Act rules and regulations. She worked with state professional organizations to make the newly proposed licensure act consistent with professional practice standards.
Stein will rotate off the board in February 2010.
