Video Focuses on Academic Experience

This month’s IUP Magazine Web Exclusive is the video IUP: The Academic Experience.

The video features campus scenes as well as footage and interviews of IUP employees and students at work.

Its underlying message is that Indiana University of Pennsylvania faculty, staff, and administration are committed to one vision: academic excellence and student success.

Biology professor Narayanaswamy BharathanEnglish professor Ronald ShaferIUP President Tony Atwater, and student tour guide Isaac Tarbell, a Child and Family Studies major, are featured.

The video was produced by Communications office members Bill Hamilton, director of Video Services, and Emily Jaros Smith, Creative Services manager.

A new feature exclusive to the IUP Magazine website is posted at the middle of each month.

The intent of the exclusives is to take advantage of the ability to cover topics in greater depth on the Web, to supplement the print edition, and to improve access to the cache of information in the IUP Magazine collection.

In addition to the video, the Web version of the Winter 2010 IUP Magazine includes extra photos for the “Then and Now” feature, which uses photographs to compare today’s campus vistas with those of previous years.
