Shari Robertson, a professor in the Special Education and Clinical Services department, was invited among other prestigious professionals to speak at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Schools Conference in July 2009.
The faculty members invited to the conference annually are chosen for their expertise and cutting-edge knowledge of topics or issues for Speech Language Pathologists in school settings. Within the past five years of schools conferences, Robertson has been invited three times.
Robertson’s presentation was titled “Using Children’s Literature to Meet Oral and Written Therapy Goals.” The presentation provided information on how to provide efficient, effective intervention that supports development in oral and written domains for children ages two to twelve.
