Mark Geletka, left, Trish Corle, and Sam Phillips are planning a Black and Gold luncheon to benefit SECA on October 22, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Crimson Event Center, Folger Hall.

Those attending the Black and Gold luncheon sponsored by ARAMARK on October 22, 2009, will be eligible for a variety of exciting prizes.

The event from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Folger’s Crimson Event Center will feature Pittsburgh-style sandwiches and salads for a $5.00 donation. Proceeds benefit SECA (State Employee Combined Appeal).

Prizes to be awarded include a Craftsman cordless drill set, an Apple iPod Nano, a Steelers gift basket, a gift card for gas, and gift card for groceries, and gift certificates for local restaurants. Each diner will receive one ticket for the drawing. Those who wear black and gold will receive a second ticket, and those who bring the event flier will receive yet another ticket. Drawings will take place during the lunch, but winners need not be present at time of drawing.

John Simpson ’79, events/marketing manager for the six-time Super Bowl champions, will be a special luncheon guest. He will share inside information on the Steelers and show off his championship ring from Super Bowl XLIII.

IUP’s campaign for SECA gives faculty and staff members opportunity to give locally or globally through payroll deduction or outright donations. Giving information and designation codes (including for the United Way of Indiana County) are available on the IUP website and on the state SECA site.
