Posted on 3/25/2009 2:56:21 PM

Learn how to reduce your high-energy costs through easily implemented, cost-effective changes for commercial and industrial facilities.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's Small Business Ombudsman Office will present free workshops across the state in the spring months. The workshop will be presented at IUP's Crimson Event Center in Folger Hall on May 27 from 8 a.m. to noon. Doors open at 7:45 a.m. Folger Hall is located on the corner of Maple Street and Pratt Drive on the IUP campus.

The workshops will provide basic energy efficiency information and are designed for business owners who have never attended energy efficiency workshops/training. Participants also will learn about financial and technical resources that are available for energy efficiency upgrades at businesses. Registration for the workshops is free, and the sessions are open to the public.  Funding for the workshops is provided through a U.S. Department of Energy grant.

Additional information, registration forms, and brochures are available by contacting DEP’s Office of Energy and Technology Deployment at (717) 783-8411 or by visiting the DEP ombudsman website.
