Branthoover Elected President-Elect of Pennsylvania Counseling Association

Dr. Holly Branthoover, assistant professor of counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, was elected president-elect of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association. She assumed this role July 1, 2008, and will begin her term as president of the association on July 1, 2009.

PCA is the state professional association affiliated with the American Counseling Association, a 600-member national organization that promotes the growth of the counseling profession.

Branthoover joined the IUP faculty in 2004. She is a nationally certified counselor and a licensed professional counselor in the commonwealth. She serves as the practicum coordinator in the IUP Department of Counseling and is an associate in a private counseling practice in Pittsburgh.

Branthoover also volunteers for the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team. She has a Master of Science degree in community counseling, and a school counseling certificate and doctoral degree in counselor education from Duquesne University.
