Dining on Campus, Spring 2021

As we start the spring semester, we have exciting changes to the dining program to share with you along with some temporary changes in hours of operation.

At North Dining we are adding a made-to-order deli to the salad bar Hand & Go area. In addition to the made-to-order options, we will also be featuring a specialty sandwich each week. Many of our deli meats and even some cheeses are prepared in-house in our smoker.

Our exhibition station next to the salad bar will also be changing. At lunch we will be featuring a rotation of made-to-order items, including omelets, pasta, sushi, guest chefs, and smoothie bowls. Dinner will feature made-to-order pasta, walking tacos, Sweet Treats, and stir fry.

We also have new items on the menu, including expanded offerings at True Balance and throughout the dining hall.

As usual we have a packed calendar of events at North Dining. Some featured events we have on the calendar include:

  • Every other Monday starting January 25 is Wing Night
  • Every Wednesday at dinner is Sweet Treats
  • Every Friday at lunch is our Chef’s Table

  • February 10 – Premium steaks and salmon, restaurant-style meals, available for an upcharge
  • February 11 – Chuck’s Carved and Crafted
  • February 16 – Mardi Gras
  • February 23 – Alt Pasta
  • February 24 – Steak Night
  • February 25 – Eggcellent Eggventure

The Hawk Hub has a large selection of new items on the menu for spring. Pastabilities will feature a rotating menu in addition to pasta that includes ramen bowls, burrito bowls, and breakfast for lunch options. Fridays at Pastabilities will also feature Hand & Go Wings. Sauces will vary each week.

Our Hand & Go cooler will also offer an expanded menu this spring that includes salads, caprese cups, and a chicken salad trio box. Limited time offers at Grille Works will start with a Spicy Maple Chicken Sandwich, and Greens to Go will feature a Mexican Street Corn salad.

Chick-fil-A will feature a new Spicy Grilled Chicken sandwich starting January 25. Chick-fil-A also has a new selection of catering type items in addition to our nugget trays. We now have wrap trays, salad trays, cookie trays, and drinks by the gallon available.

As the university is recommending that students not return to campus until February 8, we have temporary hours for the first three weeks of the semester.
