Cyber Security Club to Host First Annual Hacking Competition

The IUP Cyber Security Club will hold the first annual hacking competition on November 7, 2020, starting at 10:00 a.m.  

Event Description

Multiple groups will attempt to hack into a selected machine in the spirit of education and fun. Participants will learn theories, methodology, and skills needed to break into an unsecured computer. The first group to successfully break in will win a Steam key to the video game Hitman 2.

To prepare for the event, students are encouraged to watch the Cyber Security Club-created YouTube videos (see below) and attend a virtual information session on Friday, November 6, at 7:30 p.m.
