Faculty from IUP and two additional National Science Foundation-funded programs (Westminster College and State University of New York at Cortland, Plattsburgh, Oneonta, and Oswego) will host a workshop (via Zoom) on August 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.—“Preparing Students for the 21st Century Workforce: Cross-disciplinary, Team- and Project-based Experiences.”
The workshop is designed to prepare for the needed flexibility of the fall semester by adding team- and project-based experiences to how faculty offer coursework.
The schedule includes an opening plenary session from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. when host institutions provide an overview of their NSF projects and brief descriptions of their respective breakout session; breakout sessions from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., 11:00 to 11:45 a.m., and 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. with an optional networking lunch from noon to 12:45 p.m. and the closing plenary session from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., when host institutions provide lessons learned and or assessment results.
