The Division of Student Affairs is pleased to announce that Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD) has been renamed Student Wellness and Engagement (SWE).

The Division for Student Affairs recognizes the need to expand the scope of its services. Speaking to this need, SWE’s work will provide leadership within the overall programming efforts in the Student Affairs Division to offer additional support to students. SWE will work collaboratively with the Office of Student Support and Community Standards. This change will enhance the university’s goal to deliver strong student support and an engaging community, working in tandem with the new Student Support and Engagement Team.

Ann Sesti will continue to lead the department under a new title: Director of Student Wellness and Engagement. She will continue to oversee Health and Wellness Promotion and will preserve the efforts of the office formally known as Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs.

Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Malaika Turner said, “This new change will enhance the programming efforts in Student Affairs and will have a huge impact on retention at IUP.”
