Jessica Miller of IUP’s Counseling Center, a part of the Rhonda H. Luckey Center for Health and Well-Being, has supplied the following tips to let the stress
go during the coronavirus pandemic.
Maintain structure: Sleep, good nutrition, exercise.
Stay connected: Make plans to meet friends remotely. Participate in remote campus activities.
Be mindful of exposure to the news: Take a break from it. Read a book. Watch a movie. Take a walk.
Practice self-compassion: Show the same kindess to yourself as you would to your family and friends. It’s okay to feel bad about what you left behind.
