Attention, IUP campus community: this is a special, updated announcement from STATIC regarding its upcoming events for the spring 2020 semester.
As you may have already seen, at 8:42 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020, President Driscoll announced that no in-person classes would take place, and all programs and events with 75 people or more are canceled for the remainder of the semester as precautionary
measures in response to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with those directives, please note:
Spring Break Buses will now return to IUP on Sunday,
March 22 (not March 15). All times and locations remain the same. Check your emails for updated itineraries. Students that reside in university housing will receive an extension to remove their belongings and check out of their residence hall
rooms so long as they complete a Housing Need Form via MyIUP (select: Campus Services, Housing Services,
Forms, Housing Need Form) prior to returning.
Live at IUP: Polo G, scheduled for Thursday, March 19, is CANCELED. If you purchased your ticket with a credit card or Crimson Cash, the KCAC Box Office will automatically process your refund. If you purchased your ticket with cash, you
may pick up your refund from the KCAC Box Office beginning on Monday, March 16. Please have your original receipt and ticket in hand.
Netflix & Chill: Booksmart, scheduled for Thursday, March 26, is CANCELED.
IUP Price Is Right, scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, is CANCELED.
IUP Conquer the Mic, scheduled for Thursday, April 9, is CANCELED.
Netflix & Chill: Good Boys, scheduled for Thursday, April 16, is CANCELED.
Trip to Washington, DC, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, is CANCELED.
Live at IUP: An Evening with Josh Peck, scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, is CANCELED.
Kinks & Curls: Natural Hair Fair, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, is CANCELED.
STATIC Cookout, scheduled for Sunday, April 26, is CANCELED.
Finals Study Break, scheduled for Thursday, April 30, is CANCELED.
We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Believe us, we’re bummed about these cancellations, too. But we, as a campus community, must act with all due diligence to prevent the spread of any illness.
