IUP’s Life Without Drugs Team will sponsor IUP’s women’s and men's basketball games against Pitt-Johnstown February 29 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The Life Without Drugs Team has recently launched their campaign, #ProtectYourBrain. They are partnering with Ann Sesti, Director of IUP’s Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs office, and the peer educators from the Center for Health and Well Being.
At the event the team will have a table set up attendees will be able to learn more about the #ProtectYourBrain and participate in quizzes and games. While supplies last, the team will also be giving away custom knit caps with “IUP #ProtectYourBrain” embroidered
on them. Take a picture with the hat on and post it on your social media account with the #ProtectYourBrain tag. The Life Without Drugs Team will also be providing hats that will be tossed into the crowd by IUP’s cheerleaders.
The Life Without Drugs Team’s “#ProtectYourBrain” campaign informs IUP about the dangers of exposing your brain to mood and mind-altering chemicals, such as drugs and alcohol and particularly opioids such as heroin, fentanyl and prescription pain medicines.
