“The university’s Council of Trustees honored two departing administrators and put a hold on fee increases, among other actions Thursday afternoon. “Just as the (Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education) Board of Governors opted to hold off on a tuition increase this year, we are opting to put a hold on fees to lessen the financial burden on our students,” university President Dr. Michael A. Driscoll said. Where normally the trustees would review fee proposals in December and give them a final vote at their next meeting, scheduled for March 19, instead they acted now to help students make decisions about their plans.”
