Mueller Publishes on Multicultural Transformation in Student Affairs Practice, Scholarship, and Teaching

John Mueller of the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education and 1981 alumna Raechele Pope have an article in the most recent issue of the Journal of College Student Development.

Their article, “‘A Change is Gonna Come’: Embracing Paradigm Shifts to Dismantle Oppressive Structures,” written with Amy Reynolds, was invited by the editorial board of the JCSD to be included in its 60th anniversary issue. The objective of this special issue is to address topic areas that constitute key and current domains of research and scholarship that directly relate to a wide range of areas of practice in the student affairs profession.

Mueller’s co-authored article builds on principles of multicultural organizational development and assists student affairs professionals actualize social justice values in their work with students through teaching, practice, and scholarship. 

The JCSD is one of the world’s leading journals on higher education and is included in the Social Science Citation Index, where it is one of only five US and international higher education journals indexed.
