Bryna Siegel Finer, associate professor of English, presented as part of a roundtable of four scholars at the 2019 Feminisms and Rhetorics conference in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on November 13.
Siegel Finer, who Zoomed into the conference, presented on the need to define a grassroots ethics of care in researching community organizations developed around illness (e.g., support groups). This ethic is derived from qualitative research methodologies
including ethnography, feminism, action/teacher research, and the rhetorics of health and medicine.
