The performance will begin with Jim Olcott’s arrangement of “A Hoffnung Fanfare” by Malcolm Arnold. Works by Tim Gelhaus, Erik Morales, and Dennis Horton will also be performed. The program will conclude with Brian Balmages’ work for trumpet ensemble, titled “The Storm’s Path.”

The IUP Trumpet Ensemble includes both music majors and non-music majors, who audition for acceptance into the group.

This concert will be preceded by the IUP Trumpet Studio Recital, which will begin at 6:00 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall. Featured will be members of the IUP Trumpet Studio.

Both programs are free and open to the general public.
