As another semester is underway at IUP, all are encouraged to review and understand the university’s IT policies.
It is critical that sensitive university and personal data remain secured.
In particular, please consider the following critical instructions contained within these various policies:
Protect user identification, password information, and the system from unauthorized use (i.e., the IT Support Center or any other support organization will never request a password, especially via email).
Be on the alert for phishing messages which can compromise your account information. If an email message looks suspicious, delete it!
Unauthorized use of another user’s account and attempting to capture or guess passwords of another user is strictly prohibited.
Comply with the university’s Use of Email as an Official Means of Communication Policy (i.e., always check your iup.edu email for official university communications).
Respect the intellectual property of authors, contributors, and publishers in all media.
Please take a moment to read the IT Policies to help protect personal and university data.
