The Office of Extended Studies is offering a noncredit course, Pottery and Ceramics, beginning Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

Pottery and Ceramics is open to beginning through advanced level students and will explore wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery. Using mid-fire materials and techniques, students will have the opportunity to make utilitarian and non-utilitarian ceramic objects.

Supply List

  • Water bucket, two quarts or bigger
  • Towel
  • Basic throwing tools; sets available at IUP Co-Op Store or online
  • Premixed clay can be purchased through the IUP Co-Op Store

Ten Tuesdays: Thursdays: September 17, 24; October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; November 5, 12, and 19

Registration Fee

$155 (includes class laboratory fee for glazes and firing: $30)

Clay must be purchased in addition to the registration fee

Instructor

Paige Love received her master of arts degree in ceramic art from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and is currently an independent artist living in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
