John Wesley Lowery, professor and chair of the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, recently presented the Jeanne Clery Act Training Seminar at the University of Pittsburgh on May 21–23, 2019. He co-presented the training with Caitlin McCamish, the Clery Center’s director of Training and Technical Assistance.
The Clery Act Training Seminar is sponsored by the Clery Center for Security on Campus. Lowery was part of a multidisciplinary team that presented a two day-and-a-half-long program on the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. Lowery was one of the subject matter experts who worked with the Clery Center in 2005 to develop the original curriculum for the Jeanne Clery Act Training Seminar as well as several of revisions to the curriculum.
