Amal Ali Alharthi, PhD candidate in English Composition and Applied Linguistics, was recently awarded a Graduate Student Travel Grant from IUP's School of Graduate Studies and Research.
Alharthi will use the funds to deliver a research presentation on “Gendered Experiences of a Saudi Female: A Poetic-Narrative Autoethnography” at the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry, May 15-19, in Urbana, IL. Alharthi will also serve as
chair of the panel on “Feminist Autoethnography.”
In addition to this conference, Alharthi has also been invited to present her research at the “Reading, Writing, Storytelling, Viewing: Researching How Cultural Forms Support Reconciliation” Symposium, in Edmonton, Canada in July.
