The Finance and Legal Studies Department congratulates Kwame Edwards on placing in the top 10 of the CFA Society Pittsburgh Collegiate Personal Financial Plan Competition: 2019.
Kwame, under the guidance of Lua Augustin, created a detailed five-year financial plan that snagged the 10th place out of 237 submissions. As a result, he was awarded a certificate of recognition for placing and a cash prize of $200.
Kwame is graduating
in May 2019 with a major in accounting and a double minor in economics and management. He is actively involved in the Student Managed Investment Portfolio and recently accepted a position with Merrill Lynch.
Kwame’s achievement is certainly appreciated by the Finance
and Legal Studies Department as we offer more classes in financial planning. We encourage students to consider taking part in the competition next year, especially if they are interested in the financial planning track.
