Final Day: Help IUP Reach 1,000 Pledges!

Posted on 4/29/2019 11:14:10 AM

It’s On Us, IUP, to stop sexual assault. Today, April 30, 2019, is the last day to help IUP win the Pledge Challenge!

Join the movement across campus and take the It’s On Us IUP pledge to end sexual assault. The pledge competition ends TODAY, and we are competing to be the top campus with the most It’s On Us pledges to make a change. Anyone can take the pledge, not just IUP faculty, staff, and students—so please encourage others to support IUP in this challenge as well. We are striving to get 1,000 pledges, so please help make our goal a reality!

Take the pledge at the IUP-specific It’s On Us Pledge website

The pledge centers around four parts:

  • To RECOGNIZE that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
  • To IDENTIFY situations in which sexual assault may occur.
  • To INTERVENE in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
  • To CREATE an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.

The pledge asks for name, email, phone number, zip code (15705), and alma mater (to be sure, just put Indiana University of Pennsylvania). It’s just that easy to help IUP win the competition and make our campus and community better for everyone.
