Association of Management Information Systems attended the 10th annual Association for Information Systems Student Leadership Conference held at Temple University from April 11-13, 2019.
The conference consisted of corporate speakers, student-led
workshops and panel discussions, and leadership sessions.
Current AMIS president Emma Planitzer, alongside former President Chad Mosseso, spoke on the “Best Practices” student-led panel, showcasing their chapter’s operational practices and sharing advice to other chapters. The club was also recognized for the
two awards achieved for the 2017-2018 academic year. Under Mosseso’s presidency, the club was awarded the Outstanding Membership Activities Award and the Outstanding Communications Award, the first time in AMIS history to win two awards in one academic
year. Mosseso and Planitzer accepted the award at Friday’s Awards Dinner as part of the three-day conference in Temple, PA.
Attending members, Chad Mosseso, Emma Planitzer, Derrick Reefer, Eric Scott, Graeme Camp, and Anderson Boyle enjoyed networking with tech professionals, meeting students from around the world, and learning about the new trends in
tech. They are looking forward to getting involved in next year’s AIS-SC competitions!
