The Office of Extended Studies is offering a noncredit course, Grant Writing: Budget Building Blocks, on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
Participants will improve their understanding of how to create budgets at their workplace that position the grant project for success at implementation/execution stage. The difference between direct and indirect expenses will be discussed, as well as facilities and administrative expense recovery. Participants need not be “seasoned” grant writers, but should hold at least a minimal understanding of grants management.

Tracy Eisenhower is the senior grants and contracts specialist at Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Research Institute. Tracy works directly with researchers to identify funding opportunities, write and submit proposals, develop proposal budgets, and manage the post-award compliance aspects. Tracy is an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators and the International Society for Research Administration. Tracy serves as the primary presenter/trainer at the Research Institute and directs the University’s Primary Investigator’s Mentorship Academy.
