Malaika Turner has accepted a temporary assignment in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs as the special assistant to the vice president.
In this temporary position; she will assist both the interim vice president and the incoming vice president for Student Affairs with divisional assignments and
projects, pending a divisional review of structure that the new VPSA may wish to make. She will also continue in her role as the co-director of the Frederick Douglass Institute.
This new role in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs will provide management support by maintaining contact with constituencies both within and outside the university for project completion, problem resolution, facilitation of communication,
and managing all related administrative details of said assignments.
During her tenure at IUP, Turner has developed relationships across the campus and has gained various experiences that have confirmed that she is up for the challenge and is committed to assisting students to succeed at IUP!
