Students from each class were issued a big challenge this year by Terry Serafini ’61 to give back to IUP. He generously offered to triple the impact of every student gift of $5 or more made in support of the IUP Food Pantry (up to $25,000) as long as
100 freshmen, 100 sophomores, 100 juniors, and 100 seniors make a gift!
Our students are stepping up in a big way. They are rising to meet the challenge and have captured over $14,000 toward Serafini’s $25,000 match pool. And the year isn’t over yet. Gifts from students continue to stream into the Office of Annual Giving.
The Graduation Fair will be held early next month in the HUB Ohio Room, and many seniors will be making their senior class gift when they pick up their graduation regalia. Seniors have elected to lend their support to the IUP Food Pantry, and students
who give a gift of at least $20.19 will receive crimson and gray philanthropy cords to wear at graduation. These cords represent a lifelong reciprocal relationship between students and the university.
