Want to help make important decisions on campus? Want to have someone on a student-centered board representing your ideas and opinions? Want to have a say in how the Student Activity Fee is used? Then vote in the 2019 elections of the Student Co-op Board of Directors!

The Student Co-op is governed by its board of directors and includes individuals from across the university, predominantly undergraduate students just like you. The board of directors sets policies for the Student Co-op and decides how best to use the Student Activity Fee to serve our campus community.

For 2019–20, eight undergraduate students successfully submitted petitions:

  • Jonae Blount-Pringle (sophomore, Fashion Merchandising)
  • Toni Smay (junior, Speech and Language Pathology)
  • David Laughead (sophomore, Political Science)
  • Hamzah Sammour (sophomore, Environmental Engineering)
  • Alexis Henry (junior, Nutrition)
  • Kathleen Mest (senior, Journalism and Public Relations)
  • McKenna Miller (junior, History)
  • Sean Ellis (freshman, Computer Science)

These students will appear on the ballots you will receive in your IUP emails via Qualtrics, IUP’s online survey tool.

All IUP undergraduate students are eligible to vote in this election. Ballots may be cast at any point between Monday, March 4, and Friday, March 8. You may vote for up to four (4) of your peers. You may only cast one (1) ballot, as Qualtrics will reject any duplicates.

For more information, check out the Co-op’s Board Elections webpage, and remember to log in to your IUP email account to vote!
