National Nutrition Month Crockpot Cook-Off

SAND’s annual Crockpot Cook-Off, which is open to spectators, will be held March 26 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. in the HUB Susquehanna Room. For a $2 donation, individuals may sample the dishes and vote for a favorite.

If you are interested in participating in the cook-off and sharing your delicious recipe, you can win either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize. Please fill out the registration form by Tuesday, March 19. Cost to enter a crockpot dish is $20 for a team, and recipes must be submitted along with the registration form. Registrations forms can be found outside of room 116 in Ackerman or can be e-mailed to your by Elexsis Robison at cwjw@iup.edu.

Completed registration forms can be send to Elexsis Robison at cwjw@iup.edu or turned in to room 102 in Ackerman.

To compete, recipes must have at least one of the following root vegetables: sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips, beets, turnips, rutabagas, radish, yucca, onions, garlic, celery root/celeriac, daikon, potatoes, or fennel.
