On Friday, February 15, Dr. Dana Driscoll, Associate Professor of English, offered two invited workshops for the faculty at Seton Hill University.
The first workshop was titled "Supporting Writing Development and Learning Transfer across Courses, Disciplines,
and Contexts.” It focused on introducing cross-disciplinary faculty to learning transfer as a concept and having them work to develop teaching strategies that helped facilitate learning transfer into their courses and beyond their courses.
The second workshop, titled "Supporting Writing Transfer through Writing Instruction and Writing Center Tutorials,” was offered to faculty in the English Department and for staff and tutors of the Seton Hill Writing Center. The focus of this workshop
was in facilitating learning transfer in writing center tutorials and through the teaching of first-year writing.
