Matt Vetter (Composition and Applied Linguistics) and co-researcher Alexandria Lockett (Spelman College, English) have been awarded a 2019 Conference on College Composition and Communication Research Initiative Grant.

The $9,000 award will fund their research project, titled “How do Rhetoric, Composition, and Writing Studies Faculty Engage Wikipedia? A Scaled Survey of Attitudes and Uses.”

This study proposes to collect large-scale qualitative and quantitative data about how professionals in the field of writing studies perceive and use Wikipedia for the purpose of assessing the extent of disciplinary participation in this rhetorical composing space and making evidence-based recommendations for policy and pedagogy.
