Starting off the spring semester, Mnozil Brass is back by
popular demand as the ring leaders in their new show, Cirque, at Fisher
Auditorium, located in IUP’s Performing Arts Center on Monday, February 11,
2019, at 8:00 p.m. as a part of the 2018–19 Ovations! series presented by the
Lively Arts at IUP.
The talented musicians of the Mnozil Brass mingle music with
monkey business in their new production Cirque that will be touring the
States. With over 25 years of mastering
their artform, Mnozil Brass will entertain audiences with their signature brand
of whimsy and musical artistry.
From their humble beginnings, Mnozil Brass started their
career in Austria playing open mics. The restaurant where they performed,
Gasthaus Mnozil, served as inspiration for their name. The septet has developed
a unique style that has been loved all over the world. Their YouTube videos
have millions of views, and they have performed on stages across the globe.
Over the span of their career, the brass group has recorded eight albums,
collaborated on three operas, and produced music for the 2006 film Freundshaft.
Mnozil Brass has over 130 performances a year, and IUP is fortunate to be one of
the 10 stops in the United States.
