Driscoll and Jin Publish on Learner Epistemologies Shaping Writing Transfer

Dana Lynn Driscoll (English Department) and doctoral candidate Daewoo Jin (Composition and Applied Linguistics Program) published an article titled, “The Box Under the Bed: How Learner Epistemologies Shape Writing Transfer.” The article was published in the most recent issue of Across the Disciplines journal.

The article explores learning development and writing transfer over a five-year period for 13 undergraduate students and explores how student epistemologies shape students’ ability to draw upon and adapt prior writing knowledge. The article can be read online.
