Guest speaker Libby Roderick, will conduct a two-day training for interested faculty and staff on December 13 and 14, 2018. This interactive workshop will be held in the HUB Ohio Room from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Information on this opportunity was disseminated to all deans, chairs, and division heads earlier this semester.
Roderick serves as the director of the Difficult Dialogues Initiative and associate director of the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), and vice chair of the Difficult Dialogues National Resource Center. She works with faculty across the United States and in South Africa to increase their capacity to effectively conduct difficult dialogues in higher education, and to apply indigenous ways of teaching and learning. She is also an internationally recognized and award-winning singer/songwriter and recording artist.
